Welcome to the School of Public Health and Social Sciences (SPHSS) at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS)

This is the most varied academic unit with the mission of contributing towards improving the public health for social economic development through the provision of quality education, research, outreach and advisory services to the society. School has seven departments in specialized areas namely Department of Epidemiology and Biostatics, Department of Environmental Health, Department of Bioethics, Department of Development Studies, Department of Bihavioural Sciences, Department of Community Health and Department of Parasitology and Medical Entomology and related areas.
